Biography

I have completed 25 years in the Richmond County School System as both a Teacher and Administrator. My teaching career has taken me from Hephzibah High School as a Student Teacher and to Hephzibah Middle, Lucy C. Laney High School, and Tubman Middle School as a Teacher. I began my administrative career at Spirit Creek Middle School as an Assistant Principal and then to National Hillls Elementary,  Tutt Middle ,and now Westside High School as Principal.  I am most excited about being at Westside because I have had the pleasure of being Principal to many of my students since elementary and middle school. I look forward to helping them find their wings and watching them soar!!

Personal Message

The most important things a parent can give a child are roots and wings. (Harry Wong, 1991)

Join my commitment to see every student graduate from High School. It will take a more than a dream and a little hard work..it will take all of us.... and I mean all of us......striving for excellence everyday.

My goal as Principal of Westside High School is to create an environment where students are physically and emotionally safe in an atmosphere that fosters academic and social excellence. This atmosphere is created by a faculty and staff that is highly qualified and committed to providing a rich and rewarding education to students who walk through our doors and parents who send their students to us prepared to learn and ready for the future. --Dr. Alexander

We must "teach and show" our students that:
-We can be responsible for one another.
-School is a place to gain knowledge.
-School is a place to give and receive respect and acceptance.
-School is a place to become successful.
