NJROTC Rifle TeamSaturday November 7th, the NJROTC Rifle Team took first place at the Atlanta Shoulder to Shoulder Rifle Competition held at Union Grove High School. The team now qualifies to go to the all Georgia-Northern Florida (Area 12) Championship Rifle Competition held at Fort Benning in February. Congratulations to Markisha McKay, Elijah Baker, Dustin Graham, D'Warren Daniels, Michael Rehby, Darrell Deas, and Karrina Jones.
State ChampionCongratulations to Westside Cross Country Team Member DeAndre Smalley who is the 2009 GHSA State Cross Country Champion. DeAndre finished first in Class AAAA out of 226 runners with a time of 16 minutes and 27 seconds for the 5000 meter run (3 miles). DeAndre is coached by Mr. Marvin Fields, Athletic Director for Westside High School.
